As a fraternity we would like to establish some protocols for when a swapped person finds herself in the company of the very person she swapped with. What should she do? There are some options but we would like the public to add to our list of what she should do.
What if the body we are talking about is of an organism from another species. What should happen then?
1 Go to the police and let them deal with the situation
The police have rudimentary knowledge of crimes and the law. They are trained to uphold the law and to prevent crime where possible. The law is a set of written down ideas used to maintain order within the society. Within the ordered society, there are events that become apparent but may not be written into law.. Body swapping is a good example. As far as we know, those countries recognised by the United Nations, have not yet embraced the concept of body swapping, and as such have not started to think that it is something that may need to be included in legislation. This fact means most police would not regard as part of their role to deal with should it be shown that it has happened in their jurisdiction.
However, the most orderly manner to address the issue , if you find yourself face to face with the person or organism that you know to be body-swapped with you, and you prefer to get your body back, is to start by informing the police. In doing so, you need to stay calm and to do your best to explain what the problem you are facing is and how it impacts your well-being. Be prepared to explain the same thing over and over again as there maybe nobody familiar with your problem, or what to do about it.
2 Call an emergency number and report the matter to emergency services
These numbers are very busy and respondents on them take their work very seriously. Only call the number when you are in a crisis which is way out of your control. Be aware that emergency services may be deployed to your location and this is a very costly operation. If they do not end up understanding your problem, you may be charged with wasting their time. our advice it that you should call emergency services only if you cannot cope with your situation.
3 Call your solicitor and ask for assistance
A call to your solicitor, if you have one, would be a personal matter, which nobody should have any business frowning upon it. Also, if you calmly explain your case to the person who answers the call, it should not cost you anything. You may even have the help you require. These days there are firms of solicitors who operate on a “No win, No fee” basis and have a default interest to win. If you explain in detail and carefully that you have been body swapped at some point in the past, and you have just men the person whose person is housed in your body while you are most definitely housing they person in your body, and you would like to get your body back, whether by order from a court of law or from any other order, you may just make court history through that solicitor.
4 Challenge the other person or organism in your body to explain how it was acquired
Be aware that humans are afraid of facts and mostly prefer to listen to lies. Also be aware that the other person may not yet be aware that she/he is a victim of the international phenomenon of body swapping and may not think that there is anything wrong. They also may prefer the body housing them and may take offence to your view point.
For these reasons, be as diplomatic as you can get. Stay calm. be polite, Do not sound like you are accusing, or you have the upper hand as that would make them defensive. You want to try to make the curious and ready to listen to more. Use questions so that they can interact with you at their level of understanding.
5 other, list item.
6 Take photos without seeming threatening.
For each of the above, do your best to take photographs that you can show to relevant people or groups. Photos usually tell their own story and cause questions to be asked. You should welcome as many questions as possible because that indicates that the questioner has understood your conceptual view point of the problem. When you eventually get help from such as the police or emergency services, your body-swapper will have verbal contributions to those helpers because they have developed a level of appreciation of what has taken place.
Photographs also cause questions which enhance understanding to be raised. These days photographs are digital and can be quickly sent to officials and organisations that could help.
